As the date of my interview release with House Inhabit approaches, I wanted to take some time to reflect on who JonBenét was as a person. Sadly, over the past 26 years, her name is typically accompanied with images or notions of her as a pageant princess. The truth is, she was far more than what the media has chosen to portray her as.
As former lead investigator on this case, Steve Thomas, so beautifully states in his book, “JonBenét was the kind of girl interested in how many trips she had taken around the sun and the rhythm of the Earth under her feet. She was an incredible little kid who loved to be tickled. Miss America was the least she could have been.”
Much of the public is not aware that JonBenét was actually a bit of a tomboy. She loved to play in the leaves and had such an energetic sprit which often led her to playing hard and getting dirty. Former family friend, Judith Phillips, described JonBenét as “an old soul” and “wise beyond her years”. She was the kind of kid who asked the family gardener questions like, “What is a year?” and “Do roses know their thorns hurt?” She was incredibly sweet, charming, and generous. Described as being, “Playful and always everyone’s best friend.”
Sadly, the world was robbed of JonBenét’s infectious spirit on December 25, 1996. Even at such a young age, she had already made her mark on the world, but the incredible future she held, which shone so bright, went dark and was forever silenced. Her image and memory was frozen in time as a 6-year-old, platinum blonde-haired beauty queen who was brutally murdered on Christmas night.
Justice in it's customary form has not been possible for JonBenét, as her killer cannot be brought to justice through the legal system. So much has been done to conceal the truth behind what happened to JonBenét on that fateful night. However, if you are interested in learning the truth, look no further. Myself and my team have devoted years to learning the facts about this case and diving deeply into it, taking trips to Boulder and speaking to those who are closely involved in the case. The truth is obvious to those who follow the evidence where it leads. We will assist you in learning the aspects of the case that are deliberately hidden from the general public. You can do what you wish with the information that we provide. In the end, while JonBenét might never achieve justice in it’s usual form, learning the truth about the circumstances surrounding her murder is the next best thing. Our goal is to bring whatever form of justice that is possible for JonBenét and to clarify many misconceptions that exist with regard to her murder.
This was such a well done podcast!! thank you! I can’t believe all all information out there that we the public didn’t know!!! I always thought it was John Ramsey being involved in some sort of pedo ring. I may still believe there is some truth to that, but I think that Burke absolutely killed her!! How could that type of behavior go unchecked within the family?
Seeing how clearly corrupt the DA was in this case is there not any other branch of government that could’ve stepped in? I mean a jury indicted them?! I’m blown away by this!! Like I’d it possible to over ride the DA?? Makes me wonder what amounts of money, trades and/or favors were exchanged to make this work in the Ramseys favor and why? Just being rich got them off? I feel like it must be more of a reason than that?
I am wondering what became of the DA from this case. Have statements been issued defending their actions? I am assuming there were no repercussions on their terrible actions.
